DeAndre Lemans is an up-and-coming, independent singer/songwriter on the rise! With
a background in modeling, acting, and photography, Lemans has a natural talent and inclination
to the arts and entertainment that permeates and transitions smoothly into his love for music.
His singing career began in 2014 with his first single “I Luv You,” which happened to be the
theme song for the second season of the popular digital series Freefall. Being a public figure,
Lemans is out and transparent about his orientation as an openly gay, active member of the
LGBT community.
Being a native of Atlanta, raised in the southwest community of Atlanta Metro, and a
Grady-baby, Lemans is a true “ATLien,” representing authentic Atlanta culture and a southern
gentleman at his finest. He is the son of long-time Atlanta residents Angela and Durward,
Boddie and Gresham respectively. As a former Computer Science major at SPSU, and a
computer programming student at Creekside High, his original ambition was to become a
computer engineer. Involvement with the arts slowly converted that interest into a passion for
music and film that was birthed in 2013.
Before there was photography and even computer engineering there was “down, set, and
hut.” Standing at six foot four, Lemans is a former athlete having played football for 11 years
between the ages of 5 and 17, finishing off his High School career as a varsity football starter,
playing alongside several (soon to be) NFL athletes and most notably Eric Berry, a southwest
Atlanta icon, of the Kansas City Chiefs. Lemans stepped away from the potential opportunity of
an NFL career to follow his heart and eventually pursue his true passions, turning down
opportunities to play college football.
From 2013 to 2016 Lemans was most notable for his role as “Nico” on the Freefall series.
In 2018 he started the SlingShots Photography company, based in Atlanta, GA. Specializing in
acting headshots and, by leading the field, has garnered him attention from entertainment
pioneers and talent across the country. Motivated with a desire to inspire generations, Lemans
intends to eventually combine his music talent and photography experience to transition into
filmmaking and storytelling, giving back to the community and pioneering for future
generations.
